The IRS has been the financial backbone of the country! It has financially supported the government by consistently providing funding for the activities needed for the People of the United States to prosper, such as money for roads, national defense, clean drinking water, safe work places, safe and clean national parks, funding support for small and large business, scholarships and grants for technical and college…and so many others.

Republicans want to cut the IRS budget so it CAN’T Function! Because they, themselves, (i.e., Republicans) don’t want to pay taxes!!! Without enough personnel to carry out the duties of USA’s largest funding agency we will have no stable finances to run a government and take care of each other.
The IRS needs staffing for enforcement, collection of taxes, and helping people with their questions. If the staff at the IRS is gutted, the agency will have no teeth. They won’t be able to collect money that is owed. If this happens, the slippery slope to an unstable government will begin.
We all know that taxes are necessary, but we also know that every person and company should pay the taxes they owe. In order to do that we must staff our IRS properly! So, call your senators and your US representative and DEMAND that the IRS is fully funded so that the government will continue to serve the people of the United States.
