Donald Trump is Costing You a Fortune

The government is for the people, by the people.  The people are you and me.  The government works for us. 

But, under the current administration, the US Treasury is on pace to spend MORE money; 7.4% more than in 2024.  This isn’t smart.

House & Senate Republicans have approved their budget. And, Trump signed it into law. This bill extends tax cuts for extremely wealthy people and corporations and will hurt working families. Some budget experts worry that Trump’s proposal to extend his 2017 tax cuts will add $9T (that’s $9 Trillion) to our growing $36 trillion National Debt.  This isn’t sound budgeting.

The Trump administration is slashing programs like Medicaid that provides health services for disabled and low-income people.  In addition, he is gutting education, NASA, NOAH, NIH, IRS and a whole host of other departments that the average Americans either enjoy (National Parks) or need (Medicaid).  Our children, disabled, and elderly will lose critical support.  This isn’t good planning.

Trump is costing you plenty.  Not all of it is financial.  He is destroying America the Beautiful for all of us and giving it to billionaires. 

We believe that the government works for us and the budget should reflect funding for all of the programs we need to run a well-oiled United States.  Call your Representatives and Senators and demand that they pull back on budget items that slash appropriate funds for our Safety Nets.
