Church of the Messiah has organized the annual Silence the Violence March for 16 years in Detroit to honor the innocent victims of gun violence. This year, they've asked End Gun Violence Michigan to take it statewide so we can spread the message of hope and resilience to every corner of Michigan.

Southfield, June 17, 12:00 PM. St. David's Episcopal Church (16200 W 12 Mile Rd, Southfield). Gun buy-back and art installation.

Muskegon, June 17, 6:30 PM. Central United Methodist Church (1614 Ruddiman Dr, North Muskegon). Screening of the Gabby Giffords document "Won't Back Down."

Flint. Gun buy-back and gun lock distribution. Time and location TBA.
